Aviron Bayonnais continue to prepare for next season. On Friday, full-back Cheikh Tiberghien extended his contract with Bayonne until 2028. Back at Bayonne in 2023 after a spell at Clermont, the 25-year-old has satisfied his coaching staff, notably thanks to his very good kicking game.

Cheikh Tiberghien is the second player to extend his contract on the Basque coast, after international Tom Spring. As a reminder, the Blue and Whites have also announced the arrivals of scrum-half Léo Coly and fly-half or centre Robert Du Preez ahead of next season.
