Movement already at Grenoble. According to information from Sud-Ouest and Rugbyrama, Jeff Dubois (52) is arriving at Grenoble. The Landes native will replace Nicolas Nadau as backs coach. Nadau is due to be told the news shortly and will therefore be sacked by FCG.
As a reminder, Nadau, a major figure in the three finals played by the Grenoble club in recent seasons, had been suspended for offensive remarks towards the club doctor during the match against Brive. The news had gone down badly with the squad, who had threatened to go on strike.
Sacked by Dax
Rugbyrama report that Dubois should sign a three-year contract, one year of which is an option. The former Stade Toulousain player among others had been sacked by Dax during the last off-season, after taking the Landes club back up to Pro D2. He had also been involved in the club’s historic play-off (a play-off lost to… Grenoble) two seasons ago and in his side’s survival last year.
A former backs coach with France under the Guy Novès era, Jeff Dubois arrives with solid experience but also into an atmosphere that is tense to say the least.
