It's Rugby is the rugby database and the media outlet that goes with it: players, teams, competitions, matches, bars, chairmen, referees, staff. Everything is listed, everything remains free to browse. An account adds the network, predictions, listings and profile management.

Is sign-up really free?
Yes, all accounts are 100% free — player, supporter, staff, referee, chairman, bar manager and club. The Club account, also free, unlocks recruitment tools (player and staff listings, access to professional profiles) and team management. For several teams from the same club, create one Club account per team (tip: Gmail alias mail+team1@…).
Can I have several profiles at once?
No, one account = one profile. If you're a player and also want to make predictions, for example, you need to choose between the Player and Supporter profile when signing up. You can change profile later from your dashboard if your situation changes.

Reset link on the /connexion/ page. An email arrives within a few minutes.
Is my data protected?
European hosting, GDPR compliant. When signing up, you explicitly choose (4 separate checkboxes) whether you accept the Terms of Service, the newsletter, sharing with our advertising partners and marketing SMS. Each checkbox is independent and logged. You can change these choices at any time from your dashboard, or request anonymisation / deletion of your account.

Seven public profiles, each with its own dashboard and features. The profile determines what you can claim, publish and view. (Internal editorial roles — journalist, editor — are not available at sign-up.)

What happens if I cancel?
Access to paid features ends at the end of the period. You lose editing rights on claimed profiles, which continue to exist in public read-only mode. Your data remains unless you request anonymisation.

Your profile already exists — player, team, bar, staff, referee, chairman — populated automatically from public data. Claiming it gives you control to edit it.

Site search (magnifying glass at the top) or directory pages (players, teams, bars, etc.).

The button appears if you are logged in with the right type of account. Otherwise, create the appropriate profile first.

Our team validates within 48 hours
Each request is checked manually (current club, career, consistency). You receive a confirmation email.

Edit from your dashboard
Photo, bio, contact, career, professional profile, listings. Sensitive changes go through human moderation.
Someone shares my name.
We tell profiles apart manually (club, dates, photo). If there's a mistake, report it via the contact form.
How many profiles can I claim?
One profile per account for all profile types — player, club, staff, referee, chairman — except bar managers, who can claim several.
To manage several teams from the same club, create a separate Club account for each team. Tip: Gmail aliases (mail+team1@gmail.com, mail+team2@gmail.com…) let you centralise all emails in a single inbox while keeping separate accounts.
What if I lose my subscription?
The claim is withdrawn and the profile becomes public again. If you resubscribe later, you regain control of it.
There's incorrect information on my profile.
Once claimed, you can edit it yourself. Without a claim, use the "Report an error" button found on every profile.

Two distinct concepts on It's Rugby — favourites to personalise your feed, and follows to interact with other members.

Manage my network
Favourite or follow, what's the difference?
A favourite is a site entity (club, player, bar…) bookmarked to follow its news. A follow is another user whose posts you see. The two are independent.
Do I need an account to follow a club?
Yes. Favourites and follows require an account. Without one, you can browse all public pages freely, but nothing is saved.
How do I add a favourite?
From the entity's page (club, player, bar profile…), use the "Add to favourites" button (star icon). You'll find it in your supporter area and in My news.
Are my favourites public?
Not by default. You can make your favourites visible to your network in the privacy settings.

Predictions
Bet for free (in points, no money involved) on Top 14, Pro D2, the Six Nations, the European Cups and major international competitions.

All current predictions are listed with their deadline. Closed predictions and results are on /pronos/archives/.

Make your prediction
Exact score, winner, margin, points scored — each prediction has its own scoring. Editable as long as the prediction isn't closed.

Pocket your points
Calculated automatically at full time. A standard prediction earns up to 50 points.

Climb the standings
Overall and per-competition standings at /classement-pronos/. Some long-running (seasonal) predictions earn up to 150 or 200 points.
Is it really free? Is any money involved?
100% free. No money staked or won. Predictions are a points game between members, not a betting platform.
Who can play?
Supporter accounts only, to keep the standings fair. Players, clubs, managers and other profile types don't take part.
What happens if I miss a prediction?
No penalty. You simply score no points for that match.
Can others see my points?
The standings are public but fully anonymised: no name or identifiable username appears. Only you can see your exact position and history.
How do I see my history?
On /pronos/ (the "My points" block in the right-hand column) or on /classement-pronos/ (at the bottom of the page). Detailed results, success rate, standings.

Classifieds
Four types of listings on It's Rugby. Who sees what depends on the listing type and your profile (recruitment listings aren't visible to everyone — that's intentional).

Bar listings
Events (broadcasts, evenings), bar job vacancies, equipment for sale. Posted by managers. Visible to everyone, including visitors who aren't logged in.

Tournaments, raffles, open days, volunteer appeals. Posted by clubs. Visible to everyone.

Player recruitment — both directions
A club looking for a player (visible to players and clubs), or a player looking for a club (visible to clubs only). Listing details are never shown to supporters or to other competing players.

How do I receive emails?
In your area, "Email preferences" tab: turn on the categories you want (news, favourite results, predictions, listings). Everything is opt-in.
What about SMS?
The SMS option is visible but currently disabled: no texts are sent until the channel officially launches.

Who sees which listing
On It's Rugby, all editorial pages and all profiles (players, teams, bars, competitions, matches…) can be viewed by anyone with an account. Listings, however, are filtered by audience — that's intentional, to protect recruitment.

Why can't I see recruitment listings?
Recruitment listings (a club looking for a player, a player looking for a club, etc.) are only visible to the profiles concerned. A supporter can't see players' CVs; a player can't see other players putting themselves forward. This keeps the recruitment market from being publicly exposed.
Why is my contact information hidden from visitors?
On recruitment listings, contact details are only visible to the intended recipient — a club for a listing from a player or staff member putting themselves forward, a player or staff member for a listing from a club that's looking. This prevents scraping and off-target approaches.
Can a listing be made public?
Yes, in some cases: club "Event" and "Volunteering" listings can be marked public, in which case they remain visible to visitors who aren't logged in. Recruitment listings aren't affected.
Players' professional profiles (CV, qualifications, background) follow the same logic: they're only fully viewable by Club accounts, because it's a recruitment tool.

GDPR, anonymisation, deletion
Your data belongs to you. European hosting, strict GDPR compliance (an immutable audit log of every consent). At sign-up, 4 separate checkboxes explicitly ask for your agreement to: the T&Cs (mandatory), the newsletter, sharing with our advertising partners, marketing SMS. Each checkbox is independent and can be changed at any time from your account area.
What are the 4 sign-up checkboxes for?
In line with CNIL guidance and GDPR, each processing purpose requires separate consent:
• T&Cs and privacy policy — mandatory to create an account.
• Editorial newsletter — It's Rugby news emails.
• Sharing with our advertising partners — to personalise the ads you see on the site.
• Marketing SMS (separate channel, art. L. 34-5 CPCE) — text alerts (channel currently inactive until Brevo SMS is enabled).
Each checkbox is tracked individually with the date and version of the text. You can toggle each consent at any time from your personal area.
How do I delete my account?
From your area, "My account" tab, "Delete my account" button. Everything is erased within 30 days: profile, email, photo, bio, listings, favourites, predictions.
Purely sporting data (matches played, scores, team line-ups, honours) is not erased: the law prohibits it. Sporting history falls under the exceptions to the right to erasure set out in GDPR (art. 17 §3 a and d), confirmed by GDPR art. 85 and articles 36 and 80 of the French Data Protection Act — freedom of expression and information, archiving in the public interest. In practice, a Top 14 team sheet can no more be erased from a sports database than an AFP news dispatch that quotes you. Details in the next question.
Why isn't sporting data deleted?
The right to erasure (GDPR art. 17) has explicit exceptions listed in art. 17 §3. Two apply here:
• Art. 17 §3 a) — freedom of expression and information: match results, line-ups and statistics are matters of public record, already published by federations and the sports press (FFR, World Rugby, the League, media outlets). Erasing them would be like asking a media outlet to retract an article retroactively.
• Art. 17 §3 d) — archiving purposes in the public interest, historical or statistical research: the sports database (200,000+ matches analysed) constitutes a sporting archive of general interest, also within the meaning of GDPR art. 89 and article 36 of the French Data Protection Act.
These exceptions are confirmed by GDPR art. 85 (combined with art. 80 of the French Data Protection Act), which establishes the primacy of journalistic freedom of expression over erasure.
In practice: a Top 14 team sheet or a list of honours remains viewable, just as it would in any sports press source or federation database. Your personal data (photo, email, any bio you'd added), however, is indeed deleted.
Anonymisation or deletion?
Anonymisation: your profile remains for sporting history, but without personal data (photo, email, bio). Deletion: your user account disappears; the official profile continues to exist, updated automatically from public sources (federations, press).
Can I get a copy of my data?
Yes. Export is possible via the contact form. Legal deadline: 30 days maximum.
Who publishes It's Rugby?
The "It's Rugby" website is published by Ruck Zone. Legal notice, T&Cs and privacy policy are accessible from the footer.
