Rugby Club Nîmois’ ambitious recruitment steps up a level with the arrival of Thomas Lepeigneul. The 20-year-old back-rower (21 in August) comes from AS Béziers, where he was developed throughout.
A former Sérignan player who arrived at Béziers aged 11, Lepeigneul (1.80m, 83kg) established himself as captain of the Béziers academy side, where he crossed paths with Samuel Nouchi among others. His work rate, his selflessness and his leadership earned him the best young elite player award in October 2025, at the Hérault amateur rugby awards.
A business school student specialising in sustainable development, the back-rower arrives in Nîmes with a reputation as a dutiful player, described as unfailingly exemplary in his commitment. It is up to him to live up in Nationale 2 to the expectations his profile creates.
