Three more withdrawals ahead of the resumption of the Nations Championship.

The injury list keeps growing ahead of the resumption of the Nations Championship. Ireland, Argentina and Wales announced on Tuesday that Garry Ringrose, Santiago Carreras and Rio Dyer will miss out.

Ringrose, who has a hamstring injury, is unlikely to feature, according to the IRFU, in the home Tests against Argentina (6 November), Fiji (14) and South Africa (21) in Dublin. The 31-year-old centre will continue his rehabilitation with Leinster and will not be replaced. His last appearance came on 17 October, in Leinster’s 48-23 Champions Cup win at Clermont.

Season over for Carreras

The blow is heavier for Santiago Carreras. The Bath full-back, forced off in the 12th minute of Friday’s 23-5 defeat at Gloucester, has ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament and will miss the rest of the season, his club said. Replaced by Mateo Soler, he will miss Argentina’s matches in Ireland, Italy (14 November) and France (21 November).

Rio Dyer injured his hamstring while scoring in the 40th minute of the Dragons’ 31-14 defeat at the Ospreys on Saturday. The wing, who had just been recalled, will miss Japan, New Zealand and Australia in Cardiff. Uncapped Macs Page takes his place.
