ASM Clermont Auvergne continue to tie down their key men. On Wednesday, the club confirmed the contract extension of Australian hooker Folau Fainga’a until 2027, with a further year in option. Signed last summer from the Western Force, the international with 38 Wallabies caps quickly established himself within the Clermont squad.

Since his arrival in the Puy-de-Dôme, Folau Fainga’a has made 25 starts and featured on 36 team sheets, scoring 8 tries along the way. Much appreciated for his commitment and his rapid integration into the group, he will continue to share the hooker’s role with Barnabé Massa and Etienne Fourcade.

The extension is part of a drive for stability sought by Christophe Urios, following those of Thibaud Lanen, Rob Simmons, Marcos Kremer, Pita-Gus Sowakula, Léon Darricarrère, Joris Jurand and Bautista Delguy. Very good news for ASM in a particularly hectic transfer window.
