If that timeline holds, Théo Chabouni could return in February 2027. Castres host Racing 92 in round 9 of the Top 14.
An ever-present starter
At 22, Chabouni is Castres’ first-choice full-back. He has started all seven Top 14 games he has played this season, missing only the round 4 trip to Clermont. Last season he played 22 Top 14 games, 19 as a starter, and scored eight tries.
He went off injured in Montpellier and had surgery on Wednesday afternoon, Blog RCT reports.
An uneven start
Castres have won three of their eight games, all at home, against Vannes, Toulon and Stade Français. They lost narrowly to Toulouse (7-8) and suffered their heaviest defeat of the season in Montpellier.
