Tomás Lavanini is leaving LOU. The Rhône club announced it on Monday on their social media, specifying that it was a joint decision. “LOU and the Argentina international have decided, by mutual agreement, to bring their collaboration to an end. The club thanks Tomás and wishes him all the best for the rest of his career”. An early departure, given that the 32-year-old, who arrived in Lyon in the summer of 2024 from Clermont, was tied to LOU until 2026.

Far from spared by injuries and health problems, the international lock with 86 caps for the Pumas was able to take part in only 9 Top 14 matches last season, with 6 starts. An eye problem had also forced him in recent months to wear protective goggles when he was on the pitch. His next destination has not been made public.
