Hosting a game two hundred and ten kilometres from home is not a fixture mishap: it has become a habit for Racing 92 this season.
Le Mans, 24 October
Racing 92 will host Montpellier at the Stade Marie-Marvingt in Le Mans on Saturday 24 October, in Round 7 of the Top 14. The club confirmed it this week.
The reason is that their usual ground is unavailable, booked for concerts.
A season on the move
This game is no exception. Racing 92 have already moved their home fixture against LOU to the Stade Dominique-Duvauchelle in Créteil, this Saturday, for Round 2.
The club are moving from one borrowed venue to the next while they wait to return to Colombes, expected in May.
An already difficult sporting context
The fixture list is not helping. Beaten 64-5 in Bordeaux in Round 1, Racing sit bottom of the Top 14 and play their first home game, so to speak, far from their usual crowd.
