Nobody is unbeaten any more, Vannes kick into gear, Brive stutter, Agen, Valence-Romans and Colomiers confirm. Add in Dax’s first win (they are no longer “negative” with 0 points in last place) and you have the main lessons from this fourth round of PRO D2.
Vannes, a hat-trick for Enzo Benmegal
The young Vannes sevens wing scored the first hat-trick of his short professional career against Provence Rugby, contributing hugely to the Bretons’ crushing 40-7 win over the Aix side (six tries to one)..

Colomiers, a scoring machine
Aurillac felt the full force of the Columérins, with tries from Marta, Plataret, Pinto, Bazin and Lachaud and fine displays from Tuitavuki and Delpy.

Béziers in the second half
17-9 at half-time, 26-0 in the second half! Béziers treated their crowd to six tries in all (including a brace from Marques), four of them after the break.

Unbearable suspense at the death
- Dax: despite the coach asking them to take the penalty and share the points in the very last minutes, the players went for the quick tap, and it worked: the maul ended up in the in-goal, a final 18-14 win.
- Biarritz: it took until after the hooter for Boris Bourahoua’s men to score a hell of a try from a maul, worth an attacking bonus point for the Basques.
- Parada Heit’s “howler” for Carcassonne
A terrible knock-on from Parada Heit on the line denied his team the win…
For the next round, Mont-de-Marsan – Carcassonne already looks like a fear-filled scrap, Brive cannot afford a slip-up as they host Grenoble, and the same goes for Provence Rugby, who welcome Dax, and Oyonnax against Valence-Romans.
