Round 4 is spread over two days. Here is what Friday night has already changed, ahead of the last two games.

Friday’s results

Albi 38-22 Rennes, Bourg-en-Bresse 21-19 Vienne, Chambéry 49-7 Suresnes, Rouen 19-13 Mont-de-Marsan, Marcq-en-Barœul 7-33 Carcassonne.

Two games remain this Saturday: Massy host Orléans at 5pm, and Périgueux welcome Bourgoin at 6.30pm.

Carcassonne still haven’t dropped a point

With their fourth attacking bonus point in four rounds, Carcassonne reach 22 points, the maximum possible under the federation’s points system, which gives every club two points at the start.

Their points difference of +91 is the best in the league, and no opponent has yet scored more than fourteen points against them.

Albi are next on sixteen points after their bonus-point win over Rennes, in a game where the Bretons finished with fourteen men for lack of available props.

Chambéry have the best attack, Mont-de-Marsan the best defence

The 49-7 win over Suresnes is the biggest margin of the round. Chambéry move up to fifteen points and have the highest points tally in the division, 155 scored in four games.

At the other end of the scale, Mont-de-Marsan have conceded just 47 points in four games, the best defensive record in the league. That did not stop them losing 19-13 at Rouen, their second defeat of the season, both away from home.

Suresnes, who had won two of their four games, now have a points difference of -46.
