Two rounds of Nationale 2 have produced seventy yellow cards and four red cards. Over the same period, the Top 14 is on twenty-two yellows and two reds in fourteen matches.

Pool 1: three clubs with two wins

Annonay beat Salles 37-17, Nantes won 30-17 in Floirac and Drancy got the better of Marmande 31-13. All three are on ten points.

The Drancy match finished fourteen against fourteen: Romain Fardoux for the Paris-area side and Thomas Toevalu for Marmande were sent off in the 40th minute.

Geneva follow on eight points after a 16-16 draw in Mâcon, the only draw of the round. The Swiss club remain unbeaten. Langon have the same total after thrashing Saint-Médard 54-29, with twelve tries in the match, including two from Marika Vunibaka for the visitors and two more from Bastien Beffara for Langon.

Stade Métropolitain beat Rumilly 29-27.

Pool 2: four clubs still unbeaten

Auch crushed Aubenas 52-3 with two tries from Benjamin Verdier and lead the pool on eleven points, level with Saint-Jean-de-Luz, who beat Fleurance 30-16.

Valence d’Agen and Graulhet follow on ten points, the former after a 36-18 win over La Seyne, the latter after a narrow 33-31 win in Peyrehorade.

Nîmes scored nine tries against Mauléon, 49-7, with three players scoring twice in the same match: Benjamin Barnerias, Guilhem Bourgois and Sione Funaki. Tyrosse won 20-17 in Tricastin.

Busy times for the disciplinary officials

Thirty-three yellow cards and three red cards in twelve matches, after thirty-seven yellows and one red in the first round. Over two rounds, Nationale 2 is on seventy-four sanctions in twenty-four matches.

The match between Stade Métropolitain and Rumilly accounted for five on its own, the one between Nîmes and Mauléon four yellows and a red.

Round 3 is scheduled for the weekend of 19 and 20 September.
