Perpignan have found a fly-half to cover the injuries of Tristan Tedder, Antoine Aucagne and Jacke McIntyre and the international call-up of Italy’s Tommaso Allan. As reported by L’Indépendant and confirmed by Laurent Labit at a press conference on Wednesday, Benjamin Urdapilleta (39) is on his way.

The leading points scorer in Top 14 history, the Argentine is therefore coming out of retirement, having gone home to his own country after his spell at Clermont.

The experienced fly-half, who has previously played for Oyonnax, Castres and Clermont, will arrive shortly and could even appear on the team sheet against Montpellier on 22 November.
