This is the start of a new era for France. The 2026 Women’s Six Nations, which will be played in its new window from 11 April to 17 May, will mark the big debut of François Ratier in the French hot seat. Officially appointed in November to succeed the Mignot-Ortiz duo, the new head coach will be tasked with launching the cycle leading to the 2029 World Cup.

To support that transition, France Women will have a packed programme with three high-profile home fixtures. To close out the tournament, the FFR are thinking big by scheduling the “Crunch” at the Stade Matmut Atlantique in Bordeaux (more than 42,000 seats).

The goal is clear: to break the attendance record for a women’s rugby match in France (currently 28,023 spectators).
