The news should delight Bayonne supporters. On Friday, Aviron Bayonnais confirmed the contract extension of loosehead prop Andy Bordelai. Excellent in this start to the season, the player who arrived from Vannes two seasons ago now will stay for three more seasons.

The prop, developed at Créteil, Massy and Racing 92, was notably being tracked by UBB, several sources report. It will come to nothing. Last year, Bordelai racked up 20 team sheets across all competitions but was only named in the starting line-up eight times.

This season, the former Vannes man is on six starts from six matches played. Solid. Like Spring and Tiberghien, Andy Bordelai therefore keeps the Basque shirt for three more seasons.
