A change of course for Frédéric Michalak. The former France international (77), now backs coach at Racing 92, is leaving the Île-de-France at the end of the season to head for Australia. The former scrum-half and fly-half has signed with Cronulla Sharks, a well-known rugby league club.

Michalak knows the code well, having worked with the Sydney Roosters, also in the NRL, in 2020-2021.

The Sharks are delighted to announce that global rugby union superstar Frédéric Michalak will join the club’s NRL coaching ranks next season. Michalak will be an assistant to head coach Craig Fitzgibbon from the middle of 2026, after completing his commitments with Racing 92“, Cronulla Sharks wrote in a statement.
