Horror and dread. Overnight from Sunday to Monday, an extremely fierce fire destroyed the house of young rugby player Arthur Terriere (25) and his grandparents in Hossegor, in the Landes.

In a post published on Instagram, the Rion-Morcenx (Fédérale 2) player films the sheer scale of the damage caused by the fire. Everything in there is destroyed. “My family and I have lost everything“, begins the former Mérignac, Langon and Tyrosse player. Thankfully, no physical injuries were reported, but the family has to start again from scratch.

He goes on: “A fundraiser has been set up by my mates to help us buy clothes, essential items, furniture… Any help would be enormously useful to us, thank you so much to everyone for all your support“.

A fundraiser has indeed been launched and, as things stand, more than 4600 euros have already been collected from around 200 contributions. The link to the fundraiser is available here.
