The 21-year-old Clermont centre had surgery on his left shoulder on Tuesday. The same shoulder that has been troubling him for close to a year.

He had been forced to leave his team-mates midway through the second half during ASM’s win over Stade Français (36-32) before coming back on to replace Mathys Belaubre.

The promising young ASM centre is expected to be out of action for 3 to 4 months. 

Another blow for the Auvergne club, who have suffered a bloodbath in the centre since the start of the season despite the upcoming return of Alivereti Loaloa.
