Your match at the heart of the It’s Rugby multiplex.
A club live stream is often a video lost on a channel only family and friends know about. With the studio, every match you stream is also gathered on the media site: on the page that brings together all the matches in progress, and on the match page. Your fans find you, curious visitors come across you, and the video stays on your channel.

What the studio does with your YouTube channel.
To stream on your club’s channel, the studio asks you to connect it with your Google account. The access granted (“Manage your YouTube account”) is used only for the live stream you start.
What we do
- Create the live stream on your channel when you start streaming
- Give it the match title
- Get the stream key that sends the video to YouTube
- Show the link to the live stream on the match page on It’s Rugby
What we never do
- Read your videos, comments, subscribers or statistics
- Publish anything other than the live stream you started
- Edit or delete any existing content on your channel
- Pass your Google data on to third parties or use it for advertising
The access token is encrypted on our servers and deleted as soon as you disconnect the channel. The use of information received from Google APIs complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Details in our privacy policy.
Before your first live stream.
Do I need an account to use the studio?
Yes, a free Club account that manages your team’s page on It’s Rugby. The studio is in your club area, under the “Studio” tab. Mobile cameras and the match remote open without an account, with a QR code or a code.
What equipment do I need?
A laptop or a recent phone with a good connection (4G, 5G or wifi), plugged in if possible. Extra cameras are simply phones; an existing camera or video switcher connects to the computer through an HDMI-USB capture box. Nothing to install: everything runs in the browser.
What happens if the connection drops?
The studio reconnects by itself and restarts the stream to YouTube. The live stream carries on on the same YouTube page, viewers have nothing to do. Keep the screen on: the studio asks the browser to and warns you if it refuses.
Is the live stream public?
For a real match, yes: it appears on your channel, on the match page and on the multiplex. Tests on the test match are created as “unlisted”, visible only with the link.
Can I remove access to my YouTube channel?
At any time, with “Disconnect the channel” in the studio: access is then revoked with Google and deleted from our servers. You can also remove it from your Google account (myaccount.google.com/permissions).
Am I allowed to stream my match?
Streaming a match means you hold the rights or have the organiser’s agreement. Before each live stream, the studio asks you to confirm it.
