Is the Club account really free?
Yes, 100% free. The club area, profile editing, listings, partners page and live match updates are included at no cost. It's Rugby is funded by advertising and partnerships, never by clubs.
Why make the Club account free now?
Everything is free on It's Rugby: player, club, staff, referee, chairman, supporter, bar. Our mission is to keep the rugby community alive and the data accurate: results, fixtures, squads, honours. Charging clubs was holding back profile claims, and therefore data freshness for everyone. By setting the account at €0, we remove that friction and fuel a virtuous circle: more active clubs → more reliable data → more visibility for all.
How many users can manage the club?
Several managers: chairman's office, communications, team manager. Each with their own account and permissions.
My club has several teams (XV / sevens / women / youth): how does it work?
One team = one profile = one Club account. Tip: a Gmail alias (mail+team1@…) lets you manage several teams from the same inbox. No extra cost: it is free for each one.
Who approves my claim request?
Our moderation team checks within 48 working hours that you are an elected official, club officer or authorised by the club (simple proof: FFR licence, mandate, official Facebook page, etc.). No private information is published.
What happens if I stop using my account?
Your team profile stays online, fed by public data (results, fixtures, line-ups). You can reactivate the club area at any time. Your data remains recoverable.
Is there a catch? Bank card? Commitment?
None. No bank card to sign up. No minimum term. Account can be deleted in one click from your area.
Can I close my account later?
Yes, at any time. But two things need to be distinguished to understand what is erased and what is not.
Your personal data (club officer's email, internal contacts, written presentation, personal photos, club listings) is deleted or anonymised on simple request. It belongs to you and you stay in control of it, in line with the GDPR.
Your public data (match results, standings, team statistics, squad, honours, official fixtures), however, is kept. Why? Because it forms journalistic archives of public interest, just like any sports press database. The French press freedom law of 29 July 1881 and the GDPR itself (Article 17(3)(a)) explicitly provide for this exception: a score, a referee's report or a list of honours cannot be erased on individual request, otherwise the collective history of rugby would fade away over time.
In practice: we guarantee your GDPR rights over everything relating to your personal identity, and we preserve the sports archives, like any media outlet covering rugby. Full GDPR policy in the footer.
