Toulon strike hard! On Tuesday, RCT announced the signing of an international-class centre in the shape of Huw Jones. The Scotland international (32) has committed for two seasons and will arrive next season.

“Rugby Club Toulonnais had been working for many weeks to attract this player of international stature and to strengthen its squad for the long term”, the club wrote. Mission accomplished. Capped 58 times, the Glasgow Warriors man is one of the best players in his position.

“His rugby qualities, his standards and his experience will be valuable assets for the group. He fits perfectly into our sporting project, combining immediate performance with support for our young players“, says a delighted director of rugby Laurent Emmanuelli.

Kpoku arrives on loan

A signing that should do a lot of good in the centre. This season, the Var club have struggled to find the right formula. Sinzelle/Brex, Nonu/Brex, Smaili/Cowie… The right combination has yet to be found. With Huw Jones, Toulon already have their 13 for next season.

Earlier in the day, Midi Olympique reported the loan signing of young England lock Junior Kpoku from Racing 92.
