A week after Emmanuel Meafou, Toulouse secure another lock.

Vergé ruptured the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee during the pre-season camp in Girona in August and has not played a minute this season. The club said on 7 September that he would miss a large part of the season.

23 Top 14 games last season

A Toulouse academy product, Vergé has played 59 Top 14 games for the club, scoring 6 tries. Last season he played 23, his best tally in a single season. He also played three Champions Cup games in 2024-25.

From the Crabos to the Espoirs and up to the professional squad, I have learned, worked and grown with this jersey. And today I am proud to continue the journey at Toulouse for three more seasons.

A depleted unit

Toulouse’s second row remains short: Meafou, who extended last week, is also injured after rupturing the lateral collateral ligament in his left knee against Vannes.
