France now know their route through the 2027 Six Nations. They will begin the competition against Wales before wrapping up their campaign with a trip to Ireland, one of the toughest assignments on the calendar.

As in every odd-numbered year, France will play three matches away and two at home. They will notably have to travel to Dublin, Rome and London, while hosting Scotland and Wales in France.

This schedule promises a particularly demanding championship for Fabien Galthié’s men. The opener against Wales will quickly gauge French ambitions, before a run of matches that could count for a lot in the fight for the title.

The closing trip to Ireland already looks like one of the highlights of this coming 2027 edition. Against one of the major nations of European rugby, France could have plenty on the line on that final weekend, at an Aviva Stadium known for being hostile, but where Galthié’s men shone last year.

With a little under a year to go before the 2027 World Cup in Australia, this championship will also serve as a major test for France.
