Fabien Galthié will announce his side to face Scotland on Thursday morning (11.30am). On Wednesday, though, training at Marcoussis had yet to deliver all the answers.

What is certain is that Matthieu Jalibert, injured against Italy, will return at fly-half. Thomas Ramos should go back to full-back and Théo Attissogbe to a wing. Bielle-Biarrey keeps his place and will above all see his UBB team-mates Yoram Moefana and Nicolas Depoorère return in the centre. The pair therefore replace the Pau duo of Brau-Boirie and Gailleton.

Antoine Dupont will of course be there. Up front, nothing is settled yet. Anthony Jelonch could miss the game. In the bibs game at training, it was Montpellier’s Lenni Nouchi who wore the number 8 shirt. After an enormous match against Italy, Meafou will keep his place but should be paired with Anthony Jelonch. Flament would therefore drop to the bench.

Another question mark at tighthead prop. Georges-Henri Colombe could be preferred to Dorian Aldegheri. That would strengthen the right-hand side of the scrum considerably.

France’s probable line-up

Ramos ; Attissobge, Depoortère, Moefana, Bielle-Biarrey ; (fh) Jalibert, (sh) Dupont ; Jegou, Nouchi, Cros ; Meafou, Ollivon ; Colombe, Marchand, Gros.
