The international fly-half, who hurt his thigh against Bayonne at the end of October, had withdrawn from France’s autumn tour, where he was due to face South Africa, Fiji and Australia. His excellent start to the season could even have propelled him into the starting XV, in place of Romain Ntamack, whose performances remain mixed.

The Bordeaux man had to sit this one out, thanks to yet another physical setback. His scans had revealed a lesion in his right thigh, keeping him off the pitch for around a month and therefore out of the November tour.
But there is good news: Mathieu Jalibert resumed training on Monday with UBB, a few days out from the Top 14 match against Pau. Yannick Bru could therefore soon have his fly-half back, possibly as early as this weekend against Section paloise and that perilous trip to the Béarn.
