A turbulent end to the year for Grenoble. According to Dauphiné Libéré, the board have told the players that forwards coach Patrick Pezery is leaving FCG. Pezery, who had formed a solid duo with Nicolas Nadau, has managed to reach an agreement with the Grenoble hierarchy.

From Saturday, manager Jeff Dubois, who arrived mid-season, will be joined by Pierre Caillet. The former lock was sacked by Béziers last season, a decision that did not go down well with ASBH supporters.

Villegas is coming

But that is not all. Grenoble, only 10th in Pro D2 after a disappointing first half of the season, will be strengthened by the arrival of Jérôme Villegas.

Armed with experience in Australia since 1997, he comes in to coach the lineout, the scrum and skills. Will the recipe work? The answer will come in 2026.
