Pau’s top try scorer in the Top 14 last season, he has yet to play this season.

The move was first reported by Midi Olympique and Rugbyrama: according to them, Pau offered him an extension but refused to get into a bidding war with Toulon, Clermont, Lyon and Montpellier, who had made higher offers. Pau had already secured extensions for Emilien Gailleton, Theo Attissogbe and Fabien Brau-Boirie.

Clermont in pole position

According to L’Equipe, Toulon and Lyon were keen to sign him, but Arfeuil has other plans: talks with Clermont are said to be well advanced, though not finalised, over a three-year deal.

After six great years at the Section Paloise, I will leave the club at the end of this season.

I can’t wait to get back on the pitch and give everything for this club, this jersey and my team-mates until the last game.
