Australia will face England, Scotland and Wales in the Nations Championship.
The Wallabies have two new faces for their European tour. Head coach Les Kiss on Friday named a 33-man squad that includes scrum-half Teddy Wilson and loosehead prop Tom Lambert, both uncapped.
Son of a world champion
The 23-year-old Wilson, a former Australia Under-20 captain, is the son of David Wilson, the flanker who won 79 caps and lifted the World Cup in 1999. “Dad doesn’t really put much pressure on myself, he’s been there and done that, obviously, so he definitely tells me a few things and helps me a lot,” he said, as reported by Planet Rugby. After 14 Super Rugby Pacific appearances for the Waratahs last season, he replaces Kalani Thomas as the third No 9 behind Ryan Lonergan and Tate McDermott.
Ross and Petaia left out
Aidan Ross, who started at loosehead in the last Test against the All Blacks in Sydney, is not on the plane, and neither is Jordan Petaia. The back has not played for Australia since the 40-6 defeat by Wales at the 2023 World Cup. Taniela Tupou, Tom Hooper and Hunter Paisami return.
Australia meet England on Sunday 8 November in London, Scotland on 15 November at Murrayfield and Wales on 21 November in Cardiff, before a fourth Test on finals weekend. The Wallabies had gone six Tests unbeaten (five wins and a draw) before their two Bledisloe defeats (50-19, 43-21).
