Bordeaux Begles recall Laharrague from Beziers

He started all five of his Pro D2 games for Beziers.

Fly-half has become a headache for Yannick Bru. Matthieu Jalibert has suffered a quadriceps setback, Arthur Retiere has a shoulder injury and Hugo Reus is coming back from a concussion. The club has therefore temporarily ended Joseph Laharrague’s loan, a return already planned for the international windows but brought forward by injuries.

48 points in Pro D2

Laharrague joined Bordeaux Begles in 2023, aged 17, and was loaned to Beziers to gain game time. He started all five of his games there and scored 48 points. Last season he played nine Top 14 games for Bordeaux, four of them as a starter.

A blow for Beziers

Losing their fly-half, even temporarily, deprives Beziers of one of their best players. Charly Malie is expected to take over. Bordeaux Begles, third in the Top 14, travel to La Rochelle on Sunday night.
