The Béarn club confirmed on Thursday the contract extensions of their star scrum-halves, Thibault Daubagna and Thomas Souverbie, who will wear the Pau colours until the 2028-2029 season.

Section Paloise have announced the extensions of their two scrum-halves, Thibault Daubagna and Thomas Souverbie, who will sign new deals tying them to the club until 2029. Thibault Daubagna, 31, a man of experience, has been a cornerstone of the club since his professional debut. Thomas Souverbie, 21, a young scrum-half who came through the academy and a U20 international, also has his future settled after an eye-catching start to the season.

This double extension is part of Section Paloise’s strategy of banking on continuity and loyalty to the young talents produced by the club, while strengthening its backbone in the face of the ambitions stated in the Top 14.
Director of rugby Sébastien Piqueronès explained to Rugbyrama that this double extension illustrated the club’s desire “to find the perfect alchemy between experience and the fire of youth“.
That strategic decision appears to have been bearing fruit for several months now, with Section currently sitting right at the top of the Top 14 table.
