When Chocobares is in the team, Toulouse win in the league. That has been true for almost a year and a half.

The streak was highlighted by Actu Rugby and Le Figaro. It starts after a home defeat to Racing 92 (35-37) on 17 May 2025. Since then, the No 12 has played 20 Top 14 games, all as a starter, and won every one, 512 days without a league defeat.

Two titles in the run

Those 20 wins include four knockout games: the 2025 semi-final and final, won 39-33 against Bordeaux-Begles, then the 2026 semi-final and final, won 28-20 against Montpellier. Chocobares has won two French titles without losing a league game.

Toulouse less invincible without him

Over the same period, Toulouse lost ten Top 14 games, all without Chocobares on the field: in Perpignan in June 2025, in Montpellier, Bayonne and Pau in autumn 2025, in Perpignan, in Bordeaux, against Clermont, in La Rochelle and at Racing in spring 2026, then in La Rochelle on the opening weekend of this season.

The run only applies to the league. In the Champions Cup, the Argentine lost twice over the same period, at Saracens (20-14) in January and in Bordeaux (30-15) in the knockout stage in April.

Signed by Toulouse as a medical joker in April 2021, Chocobares has played four Top 14 games this season and won them all. Next up in the league is Perpignan at Ernest-Wallon on 24 October.
