It is the end of a long story. Stade Rochelais have confirmed the departure of Robert Mohr, their director of rugby, this summer. The former Germany international lock will have spent seventeen years at the club, first as a player and captain (288 matches between 2002 and 2012), then as director of rugby from 2021.

In that role he helped shape the recruitment and the academy pathway of a squad that went on to become double European champions. “Saying goodbye is incredibly difficult. I will never forget everything I have experienced here in La Rochelle,” he said in the club’s statement.
