The storm battering La Rochelle shows no sign of easing. On Friday, France scrum-half Nolann Le Garrec was suspended for three weeks by the disciplinary committee following his dangerous tackle against Pau on 21 March.

Initially, Le Garrec should have been suspended for three weeks. But after “taking into account mitigating circumstances (clean disciplinary record, expression of remorse, admission of guilt and conduct before and during the hearing)“, the sanction was reduced.
