Six games, six wins for Massy. The Paris-region side held off Mont-de-Marsan, who were reduced to 14 men three times in the first half.

Massy built their win in 28 minutes, with tries from Tristan Joly, Tijde Visser and Siegfried Fisiihoi. Mont-de-Marsan picked up three yellow cards, two of them in three minutes (Aminiasi Tuimaba in the 23rd, Paul Leraitre in the 26th), before hitting back with two tries either side of half-time. They leave with a losing bonus point, their third of the season.

Albi score seven in Rouen

Albi got the better of Rouen in an 11-try game (45-31). They scored seven, including two for Mathieu Galtier, against four for the hosts, and took the try bonus. They now have five wins from six and sit a point behind Massy.

Carcassonne slip back

Chambéry went clear early against Carcassonne, with three tries in the first ten minutes. They won 35-23 and moved above Carcassonne in the table. Carcassonne, who had won their first four games with a try bonus, have now lost twice in a row and drop to fourth.

Tight finishes

Three games were decided by two points or fewer. Vienne won 25-23 at Marcq-en-Barœul, who suffered a sixth defeat in six despite a third losing bonus point. Orléans won 21-20 at Périgueux, despite two tries from Sirilo Lovokuro for the hosts. In Bourg-en-Bresse, Rennes snatched a 31-31 draw with a converted try from Robin Garnier in the 80th minute.

On Saturday evening, Bourgoin-Jallieu beat Suresnes 34-12, four tries to none, and took the try bonus.
