Have France digested their disappointment? Do they still have the appetite? Following the 17-35 semi-final defeat to the Red roses, the French staff (Gaëlle Mignot and David Ortiz) have made a few adjustments in an attempt to finish on a positive note and take the bronze medal, as in 2022.

On the wings, Joanna Grisez – who missed the semi-final because of a thigh problem – comes back in for Kelly Arbey, dropped to the bench. At full-back, Émilie Boulard takes the place of Morgane Bourgeois.

In the second row, Taina Maka starts alongside Fall Raclot, with Hina Ikahehegi moving to the finishers. The rest of the pack is unchanged from last weekend, while the Carla Arbez – Pauline Bourdon-Sansus half-back pairing is retained.
