France U20 meet at Marcoussis from 26 October to 1 November with a 34-man squad.

Cédric Laborde named the first France U20 squad of the season on Friday. Thirty-four players have been called up to the national rugby centre at Marcoussis from Monday 26 October to Sunday 1 November, ahead of a friendly against Italy in Parma on Friday 13 November.

Toulouse, Toulon and La Rochelle lead the way

Fourteen clubs are represented. Toulouse, Toulon and La Rochelle supply four players each, among them Tana Keletaona (Toulon), who made four appearances in the 2026 U20 Six Nations, and Sacha Elissalde (La Rochelle). Several of the squad already have Top 14 experience: Elissalde has played five league matches this season, Diego Mascarenc (Perpignan) three, scoring one try, and Lilian Baret (Lyon) two. Baret and Mascarenc also featured at the U20 World Championship last summer.

“Building the first bonds”

“This first gathering marks an important step for this new generation,” Laborde said in the French federation’s statement. The France U20 manager wants to include “players who are coming through thanks to their performances in the Espoirs since the start of the season”. “This camp will be an opportunity to build the first bonds, between the players but also with the staff, and to lay the foundations of this new collective adventure,” he added.
