Good news for Clermont supporters. On Wednesday, ASM announced the extension of prop Giorgi Akhaladze (26, 5 caps). Enjoying a storming start to the season (4 tries in 7 matches), the Georgian will stay in the Auvergne for two more seasons, until 2029.

Having arrived last season from Béziers, Akhaladze has delivered in full. He is now one of the senior figures in the group.

A few days ago, ASM had already announced extensions for hookers Barnabé Massa and Etienne Fourcade as well as for tighthead prop Cristian Ojovan.
