King Charles is back. Charles Ollivon is set to make his big return with Toulon, nine months after rupturing the cruciate ligament in his right knee on 4 January against Racing 92. The France international (46 caps) features in the squad to take on Stade Rochelais on Sunday in Top 14. Nothing yet confirms that he will stay in the 23 against the men from La Rochelle, but a comeback is imminent for the 32-year-old Basque.

“Will he be out on the pitch? We will see. Nothing is clear or definitive“, brushed aside manager Pierre Mignoni at a press conference on Friday. A genuine control tower in the lineout, hyperactive with ball in hand and in defence, Ollivon has never been lucky with injuries. His return to competition is a boon for RCT but also for France. His last match in the France shirt dates back to 22 November 2024 against Argentina, when he started at number 8.
