Without Jordie Barrett, ruled out before kick-off, New Zealand had the game won by half-time.
Josh Moorby opened the scoring in the 11th minute, before Beauden Barrett and Peter Lakai made it 17-0 by the 20th minute. Rieko Ioane added a fourth try. The Wallabies hit back through Jeremy Williams, who was then sin-binned for offside, and Wallace Sititi scored from the resulting scrum. Beauden Barrett grabbed his second on the half-time hooter from an intercepted offload.
Seven tries to three
Moorby scored his second early in the second half. Tom Wright and Filipo Daugunu crossed for Australia after the break, but never threatened the All Blacks, who also lost Quinn Tupaea to injury early on.
