Still recovering from the cruciate ligament rupture he suffered in March, Antoine Dupont is continuing his rehabilitation… but is not staying away from the public stage for all that. The France scrum-half was in Japan for the opening of the Osaka World Expo on 13 April.

Alongside Sophie Marceau and Teddy Riner, Dupont inaugurated the French pavilion in the presence of Emmanuel Macron. A symbolic showcase, in which sport and culture were honoured by three French figures. The actress, a long-standing lover of Japan, wore a dress that nodded to the kimono.

For his part, Teddy Riner recalled the importance of Japan in his career: “I think that today I am on my 50th or 60th trip to Japan, it is a country that has given me a great deal.” An international interlude for Dupont, before he returns to rugby.
