The All Blacks have not lost four in a row for twenty-eight years.

According to itsrugby data, the last run of four or more defeats came in the winter of 1998. The All Blacks lost five Tests in a row between July and August that year, three against Australia and two against South Africa. Since then they have only twice lost three in a row: in 2022, twice to Ireland and then to South Africa, and in recent weeks against the Springboks.

Australia, unbeaten in six games, have not won at Eden Park since 1986.
